selecting a half cover
« on: August 23, 2016, 07:56:51 AM »

I'm going to buy a half cover for my 2015 Limited and need to know where to get a good one. I'm looking for one that will keep seat and fairing dry. I know MOCO has the Oasis Day Cover is it a good one? Are there better cheaper options? I'm not the type that has to have Harley Davidson written all over everything, in fact I prefer not to have it on my covers. I feel it may draw, unwanted attention to my ride or cover. Any suggestions or comments on Oasis Day covers or other brands? Thanks

Are you using it for indoors (dust cover) our outdoors to keep the dew and rain off at stop overs?

I looking for one to keep top half dry on stops. Mainly on long trips and overnighters. Something that doesn't take up very much space.

Check out Exigent Bike Covers. I have/use the full outdoor cover when travelling. It is lightweight, packs up small, and doesn't have any logo's (H-D) on it.

I have an Ultraguard half cover that I use when traveling, it covers the entire top half of the bike. I've had it about 5 years so I did have to renew the waterproofing on it with some 3M spray this past spring  but that's to be expected after all the use it's gotten. The best part is the cover cost less than 50 bucks.

I've seen these on member's bikes at GTG's before and just haven't gotten around to getting one yet. They seem to work very well and pack small. The item in this link is for an RGU so you may want to look around the site for the correct one for your bike.

Check out Aerostich covers. Made from parachute material and pack small. No ugly HD logos on there either to tip off a thief.

I use a Skin-it cover on the road and it works well keeping the bike dry and out of the elements. In the am I roll the cover in a couple of room towels and it's dry enough to store.

Exigent bike covers makes great waterproof covers full or half size I own both and they work very well.
