Front end vibration
« on: September 02, 2016, 07:45:31 AM »

I just wanted to give some insight into a problem I was having. I started noticing my bars vibrating more then usual and getting increasingly worse with speed. I also felt some wandering wobble at highway speed in a straight line. It ended up being a loose steering head and after it was tightened night and day difference. The bike only has 3700 miles and it was suppose to have been adjusted at the 1000 mile service. I'm guessing they never did it at 1000 miles. Just wanted to put it out there so people have a point of reference if they have a similar problem😄

I don't think that they check the TQ on the neck during service unless a complaint has been made. Road Glides seem to be more sensitive and like to have the those neck bearings set on the high end of the spec.
