My understanding is the CVO is still not painted at the factory.  The big change was 2010, the first year the CVO was no longer assembled by a dedicated team of two experienced employees, it was moved to the regular assembly line.

My daughter bought a Chieftain Darkhorse and the paint has some odd smudge looking marks in it. We are working with the dealer now to get a warranty claim. We will see how well Indian steps up to the plate.

BTW we now have four Indians in the garage and mechanically speaking they are very well built.

Dr.D, hopefully Indian will step up to the plate and make it right.

HD has had paint issues, the 15 CVO's had a very soft clear coat, scratched supper easy and HD would do nothing.  Tank would get wear marks after two hour ride from jeans.  My 14 year old fatboy with a black tank doesn't have those marks.  I would have to polish my tank once a month on the 15.  My 17 SERG has much better paint clear coat.
