Nice one! ...Congrats ,

Another sharky converted to "The Dark Side". :2vrolijk_21:

I did get a new 17 Street Glide, but I am not a convert.  I'm a die hard Road glide guy, have had 3 CVO road glides, I put over 45K on each of them.  They just did not offer a CVO road glide this year.  I wanted a new bike so I am giving the street glide a try.  It's my first batwing.  It's a very nice bike, but I prefer a road glide.

I did try a 11 Street glide and hated it.  The vent really improves the street glide enough that I like it.

Singlebeam, Sharp looking bike.  I debated between the Orange and Black and the Red and Black which I ended up getting.

I bought the same bike. Loving it so far. I am the Original Roadglide guy from back before they were cool to own. I took so much crap for having a Roadglide and now Everyone has them. I guess I bought the Streetglide mainly because of the new motor. I had to get away from the 110.  I think I would have bought the new CVO if it was a Roadglide or a Streetglide.

I wanted the new motor, the ride is supposed to be better and there were a few more goodies that I liked. I was ready for change. I have had three 110 bikes, on to bigger and better things.

if this new 114 was offered in a CVO Road Glide that is what I would have got.  Part of why on jumped on the new motor was my 15 SERGU had a lifter take out the motor at 43K miles, 2 years and 12 days old.  My 09 SERG had a lifter fail at 46K miles.  My 12 SERG made it to trade in time with 46K on it.  I do have a 13 SERK with the 110, now a 117.  Pretty sure the Woods Alpa lifters will not fail.

I am really liking the new motor.  It is much better, and does not sound like something will fail any time now.  The street glide is growing on me, much better than the pre rushmore street glides.

Will go back to a road glide when they have a CVO in a couple years.  Enjoying the SESG now though.

Ahh ...give it time Dave ,...give it time !!

I like the little bit of weight on the front end that the batwing gives you ,feels more positive in the turns and adds just the right amount of resistance for me ,I found the road glide a bit "light and fluffy" at the front end  and a lot like my Road King CVO  was but if that's your bag ....enjoy :2vrolijk_21:

My first touring bike was a Road Glide, and all since were except my hot rod with is a built CVO Road King.

One of the things I like about the road glide is no weight shift at slow speed tight turns in a parking lot.  I can ride a 20 foot diameter circle in either direction on the Road Glide or King.  So far 23 foot is all I have felt confident enough to do on the Street glide.  I am practicing, as I know a 20 foot circle can be done on a street glide, I'm just not there yet.

I also like the road glide a lot better in high cross winds out in Kansas, Nebraska and SD.

I do like the Rushmore street glide a lot, way better than the pre rushmore which I would never own.

Thanks, The SS was a 1972 all original SS 454 from the factory. I still have the numbers matching engine in a building out back. I have the build sheet and the protect-o-plate too. The current engine is a Ram Jet 502... ;D
