Ahh ...give it time Dave ,...give it time !!
I like the little bit of weight on the front end that the batwing gives you ,feels more positive in the turns and adds just the right amount of resistance for me ,I found the road glide a bit "light and fluffy" at the front end and a lot like my Road King CVO was but if that's your bag ....enjoy
My first touring bike was a Road Glide, and all since were except my hot rod with is a built CVO Road King.
One of the things I like about the road glide is no weight shift at slow speed tight turns in a parking lot. I can ride a 20 foot diameter circle in either direction on the Road Glide or King. So far 23 foot is all I have felt confident enough to do on the Street glide. I am practicing, as I know a 20 foot circle can be done on a street glide, I'm just not there yet.
I also like the road glide a lot better in high cross winds out in Kansas, Nebraska and SD.
I do like the Rushmore street glide a lot, way better than the pre rushmore which I would never own.
