Aquatic AV has 2 to choose from.   The premium unit is really good. Has lots of options..
But the screen is hard to see in bright daylight.  Sony and a few others are good too.   Jensen has one that looks like a winner. . Fits right in there and plug n play. Stuart.

Aquatic just updated their radio to have a clock and XM ready. Problem is, they are sure proud of what they have. $750 is a bit steep for a head deck. Then you have to add the XM kit for about another $75.

I had their radio in my sg. .  It was really annoying that the display could not be seen during daylight.  Stuart

I have the new Aquatics deck on my SG, its much brighter than the old models and not as bulky looking either. Any aftermarket head unit is going to be superior in audio quality than the stock unit on a 2004, the trick is to find something marine grade and easy to install. Aquatic does both.

Is it too bright for night riding?

I have been through the process on '11 SERGU. Had to buy two Sony head units, first with CD, second with IPOD tray. Both had issues seeing them during daylight. Angle was wrong for a Road Glide, there was NO way to see either unless it was dark out. That is troublesome for trying to change audio device, radio station or even seeing time.

I am suggesting sending stock unit to iron Cross, http://www.ironcrossaudio.com/, they can add bluetooth, RCA preamps and all sorts of goodies to the stock unit. Adding the RCA plugs will make a huge difference in sound output.

I have said it on this form many times already, I spent over $3,000 on stereo upgrades and lost CB and backseat comm and it was not worth the hassle, $ spent and headaches.

The new Sony ME100BT. I had a Biketronics system installed with a Sony radio and just moved up to a new system.
