Options for 2009 CVO Springer Exhaust
« on: November 02, 2016, 07:31:47 AM »

I am thinking about a new exhaust system for my 2009 Springer. Right now I have V&H Slip ons. If I go with a header system does that get rid of my catalytic converters? If so, the bike should run cooler right? What header systems will help out my performance and sound mean as hell? Something cool looking would also be nice.

Thanks/Sinker

I seen and heard the Bassani Xhaust Road Rage 2-Into-1 on a couple Springer CVO's  and they sound great. You can get them in chrome and black.
You really should get the bike dyno tuned regardless if you have the slip on's or go with the 2 - Into - 1.
It will run cooler and have more power after it has been properly tuned.

Sorry for the relatively late reply from Australia mate.

On your 2009 model year , the Catalytic converter is IN the original mufflers.

If you have slip on "noisy" mufflers already the your cat converters are gone already

Mostly only the Touring bikes have/had the cats in the header pipes.

On your bike with the 240 rear , you are a bit of an "orphan' for complete exhaust options , (some Breakout systems may fit tho'!)

Any Softail Custom/Rocker/Heritage/Nightrain/Softail Standard slip on mufflers will fit your bike , same mounting brackets etc etc
