Well, just received this from SMHD.  Free Manufacturers extended warranty on all remaining 2014 - 2016 new inventory.  Offer good to the end of Feb, 2017.
There isn't anything on the main MoCo site concerning this so maybe it's a local dealer thing attempting to get rid of the remaining new 2014 to 2016 inventory.

....oh, and of course the little blurb on restrictions "Offer excludes police, CVO, lease and rental models"

Normal factory warranty is 2yrs from sale , do you know how long the extended warranty is that they are offering as included?

it may not even be the extended warranty.  I came across something the other day that I just kinda kept in the back of my mind.  in the owner's manual, under warranty duration, it mentions 2 years from date of service, or 'the third anniversary of the last day of the model year of the motorcycle'.  so even though the bike is new on the floor, you may not have any 'factory' warranty on it.  maybe they are just pre-empting that portion of the warranty so that you get a full 24 months?

I'm not sure, Simon.  I'll give the fine folks at SMHD a ringy dingy this morning and find out....

Talked to SMHD this morning.  Finance person to call me back with further details but preliminary details from them: the actual wording should not be free manufactures extended warranty.  The "manufactures" part should not be in the offer.  It should read free extended warranty because it's actually an ESP.  Don't have the details on the package (length of ESP, etc.) but am expecting a call back with those.  Will post when I get 'em...

Seems funny they leave out CVO models. After all they cost the most and they make the most PROFIT on them.

Ok, but if we are talking about a stock CVO the finger gets pointed at the MOCO not the buyer/owner.

Oh yeah. Even the seats are more expensive due to the heating units.

My almost stock, meaning pipe and tune, CVO's are the ones that have had issues.  09 SERG , lifter failure, 12 SERG Regulator and compensator failure, 15 SERGU engine replaced.

13 SERK with built motor, Zero failures.

They do not want to admit having issues selling the CVO's.  There suppose to be very limited, and in High demand. 

The sure were for 16.  Saw lots of 16 CVOs still on floor in Oct of 16, not in my are but other parts of country.
