Screaming Eagle Exhaust
« on: February 10, 2007, 11:12:35 AM »

If this thread already exists somewhere, my apologies.

Last Fall I heard my local dealer talking about a NEW SE  slip on's for the 07's. I was told these pipes sounded VERY nice. I've looked thru the parts on HD's web site but I can't be sure which ones are the new ones.

Has anyone had any experience with these slip-ons? If so, I'd appreciate responses.

Also, I'm having V&H true duals installed this weekend. Would these slip ons work with this set up? I'm sure it would need to be re-tuned.

If anyone has run these exhaust systems how is the sound?

Since the V&H Ovals will fit stock headers, it stands to reason SE muffler will fit V&H Dresser Duals.

The Vance and Hines duals are not stepped, so any slip-on muffler should fit.  They are the same size as the stock head pipes.  1.75"

I asked this question some time ago on another thread.  Got no response, so I figured no one had any exprience with them.  I have heard them attached to the stock header system.  They are no much louder than the 4" mufflers that come on the SE Ultra and the SE Road King for 07.

I have decided to use the V&H true duals with a set of them and see what happens.  I would think they should produce more sound with the duals.  If nothing else, I like the way they look, similar to stock.  I am also going to see if my stock end caps will work.

That must be the case johnnymap! I bought my SEUC last summer and they kept telling me about some new SE slip ons and how great they sounded. I've never heard them, nor heard anyone talk about them. Dealer said they sounded pretty good. Guess I'd have to buy a set to find out.

Regarding the SE Slip ons,
Any idea if they are louder than or equal to the SPOs?
How about performance and flow?

Anyone have a picture?

Thanks

I've been reading about SPO's. I have to plead ignorance. WHAt are SPO's?
