Removable King Tour Pak with Boom 2 Speakers, Amp, and Light bar
« on: December 11, 2016, 01:06:37 PM »

Does anyone have a parts list to make the king tour pak removable with information on how the amp for the speakers was installed and where. Want the smoked LED light bar as the CVO Limited has with LED marker lights too? Has any member documented this project so I can guide my dealer? Parts list? Any suggestions with this project?

I am doing this BUT not removable. With the amp the dealer said it needs to stay. Waiting on one last wiring harness. I'm also doing the lower fairing speakers. They are custom making the smoked tail lights like what's on the CVO ultra. I'll post pics once it's done.

I did this conversion last year on my '13 Electraglide, making the Tour Pac detachable, moved the amplifier, changed speakers, etc. I detailed everything on the forum - link is: http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=102454.0.

Rogercm,

I did just what you're asking except without the light bar.  I have some photos and part number info posted at the link below.  If the link doesn't work, search the topic name "16 SG CVO Tourpak & Speaker Addition Tips".  Hopefully this is helpful for you.  I absolutely love this set-up.  You'll note in the thread that there has been a problem with the Tourpak speakers when using the fade control or the auto speed volume control setting.  The speakers distort and I've blown 2 sets.  For me, if I don't use the fade (moving more of the sound to the rear saddlebag and tourpak speakers) or the speed control I have no problems.  My Dealer says the factory has a download fix for the past couple months, but I haven't had it updated yet.  We'll see if it fixes the problem because I love the speed volume control option. Let me know if I can help with additional info.
