I can not figure out what the AUX is connected to, maybe heated seats? It blows as sone as I turn on the AUx switch. I have looked for an obvious short but can not find any.

Welcome to the board from San Diego.

I can't recall without seeing the dash for the switches.  Did you look in your owners manual?

By the way, I have a color matched Bushtec Roadstar GT for sale that matches your bike perfectly and cheap enough to pay for your trip out here to picke it up....

It may be connected to the heated seat, but it shouldn't be.  There was a separate connector for the heated seats.  The P&A Accessory connector is a four pin black connector with a weather cap tethered to it.  Look near the battery under the side covers, it should be near the fuse box if I remember correctly.

OK, I walked down to the garage to look at my bike.  I have a 13 CVO Ultra Classic but I do not have an Aux. switch.  How about a photo of what you're referring to?

Kiro, do you have an Aux switch on yours? :nixweiss:

The AUX switch is supposed to be on the right side of the ignition switch, along side the power lock switch.  On the left side of the ignition switch you should have the speaker switch and the spot/cruise switch.  At least that's what the parts manual shows for the 2013 CVO.

I think you're right.  I just used the terminology the OP used and assumed he meant the accessory switch.  Probably shouldn't assume anything, but I often can't help myself. ::)

Attached is an image of my dash JC. I have a ACC (accessory) toggle. In my case I have some running lights that were added wired to it. Not sure if this is what the OP was referring to or not...

If you are referring to the ACC switch on the dash panel to the right of the lock/unlock switch (as Kiro showed in his post), it runs to an empty Deutsch connector under the seat right near the gas tank mount to the frame.  I don't know if you are the original owner or not, but if no one has used it for an after-market accessory, it should be unused and have a rubber plug in the end.  I would start there and see if anyone has added an accessory to that plug, and if so trace it down from there.  If plug is unused, check for chafing or pinching between the plug end and the switch.  If you added an accessory, check the amperage of what was added vs. the rating for the switch.

WOW, thank all of you that chipped in information on the ACC (not AUX) switch, I have learned a lot.  I am especially appreciative of positive contributions and no insulting comments of others that happens elsewhere.  So if I never add anything eclectically it isn't important to have this switch working.  Still, I will continue to try to find the short following the advice and input of all that responded.  Tks to all and GO PACK!

You've got a small glimpse of what sets this forum apart from all the other motorcycle forums.....there are many differences.  One of the differences is that the members of this forum get together and ride, often.  Some times it's just a small local group of members from this forum but every year there's a major GTG (get togther) in the east and another in the west (one coming up in Cody, Wy in Sept.).  Go to the Events board and look for a ride that might peek your interest and start making plans to attend.

Many here have traveled to GTGs in both the east and the west.  I've rode with members of this forum on both coasts and have rode across the country with a few of them.  Just one more big difference in this forum.....
