Sena Freewire update
« on: February 17, 2017, 08:05:03 AM »

Just updating a topic from last November regarding the new Sena Freewire.  I purchased a Freewire from Eastern Performance to go along with my Sena 20S that I had to communicate with my wife while she was on her Switchback.  Couple buddies have trailered down from Canada for a couple week visit to our winter home in Kissimmee Florida.  We have put close to 2,000 miles on over the last couple weeks touring the state including Key West.
I have been using the Freewire and 20S to communicate with them (2017 Limited and 2016 CVO Roadglide both with CB's as well as CB in my StreetGlide).  The Freewire and 20S have worked flawlessly.  I have had excellent sound quality with full 2 way communication with them via the CB.  Phone, Boom etc has worked.  There was no difference then being plugged in with the normal 7 pin HD cord only I am now cordless!  After first pairing with the two, they now automatically connect with each other upon turning them on.  After you adjust your volume you never have to touch a thing for them to work, just use the PTT button on the bike to talk to the other bikes as you would with a cord connected setup.  I used the included handlebar strap to mount the Freewire on the clutch lever side handle bar.  It easily snaps in and out of the mount at the end of the day.  I also used the supplied power cord for the Freewire into the power outlet on the bike as our days were long.  Our longest ride was 9 hrs down to the Keys and the 20S maintained power on a single charge.  I did leave the Freewire unplugged from the power on the bike coming back up the west coast from the Keys and it died just before arriving back home in Kissimmee after close to 9 hr return ride.
So to sum it up I am very happy with the setup.
