Caliper leak
« on: April 16, 2017, 01:26:50 PM »

2017 CVO Limited now has a caliper leak coming from the inside. Bike has 2100 miles on her. This was after the oil pump went out at 850 miles. I don't see there is a kit to rebuild so I need to make sure the dealer has a new caliper before I show up. I almost forgot the bike also has the stalling problem.

My brides RK has the same issue and I thought the same as you until finding a post on here where an aftermarket is offering rebuild kits for the Brembos.   It's here somewhere muddypaws, hopefully you can use the search better than I.

The bike is covered by warranty, so aftermarket kits don't help in that case.  Muddy is right, he needs to make sure the dealership has a caliper on hand before leaving the bike with them.  Sometimes these kinds of things turn out to be a widespread issue and the repair parts are backordered.

They will have my part Friday. Because they know me they ordered the part before they see the bike.

Sorry about the problems you've had already on your new ride.  Hopefully they'll get this all sorted and no more problems.   :2vrolijk_21:

Sorry to hear about your problems but glad the dealer is handling them.  I had heard about the oil pump issues but I haven't heard anything about caliper's leaking. I know with a brand new bike and only a few miles on her this has to be frustrating. When the dealer steps up and handles everything it does help.  Hopefully she will be all fixed up and no more problems!
