Yes, you are correct: instructions are wrong and should read "the LED on the receiver turns off".

On my '15 FLTRUSE, I don't have an "ignition switch" like I did on my '16 FLTRU.  On that bike, the accessory/ignition switch/fork lock worked in conjunction with the run switch.  On my '15 FLTRUSE, all I have is the a run switch on the handlebar - no "ignition switch".   I used the RUN switch per instructions.  Turn that one on.... then flip the headlight from low to high OR high to low one time, relatively quickly and that's it.  Worked like a charm.

Good luck.

 :(
Big thanks to all that offered up suggestions and advice to me,  but I've decided not to pursue this any further.  Just got off the phone talking with my local H.D. Service mgr.  He said he had never seen a GDO transmitter go bad,  but said if I pulled off the windshield and front fairing,  I could see if the light on the transmitter would light up when I triggered the hi/lo beams.

Too much hassle to me when at this point.  I already have a gdo remote from my new opener sitting in my windshield pouch so guess I will just get it out and push that button when needed.  I'm just out the bucks for the new receiver and the soldering job on the wall circuit.  I've tried mounting the receiver on the ceiling at the same outlet as the power for the GDO so as to be closer for the signal..........backed the bike outside and fired it up and tried it again and again..........fu** it,  I've got other projects and things to do. :drink:

Thanks again for the assists.

No problem, maybe one day you will get it worked out. I like the convenience of just flipping the switch coming up the driveway.

I believe it is your receiver since it worked before your troubles.
