Star Racing G2 Two into One Exhaust
« on: May 29, 2017, 05:50:58 PM »

Has anyone used any Star Racing G2 Two into One Exhaust?  They  are stepped and made for big motors. I emailed them the other day and waiting for a reply. Most two into one pipes use a 1 3/4" header out out of the heads. I am wanting a 1 7/8" head pipe. I fear that the standard head pipe will not let a V124 motor breath as it should for good performance.  Would a 1 3/4" header be too small for the motor?

Was your 124 using the S&S billet cam chest cover?  If so do you recall the clearance between the front header pipe and the cam cover?

Thanks!

Can't speak to the G2 pipe, but the header sizes of pipe "should" work with a 124, although length's of the steps and baffle matter as well as collector size which in my case was proofed for both the borzilla (quiet baffle) and Drago's 2 into 1 pipes (2.5" baffle).   I have a 160+ 124 running Drago's 2 into 1, a 155 hp Jims 131 running a D&D.   Also had 2 x 120r running drago's 2 into 1 with no issues.    The other choice is to build your own from say a burns kit.   I personally like the sound from Frank's pipe better than my borzilla with quiet baffle, but that is personal preference.
