Shock upgrade
« on: June 16, 2017, 12:56:00 AM »

What is the best rear shock upgrade for 2015 SG?
Or is it better just to go air ride?
Looking for solo and two up improvements in performance but only want to do it once so rather just get the best and be done with it

Ohlins cost exceeds value. Try Progressive of your choice. Much better than OE and cost is not excessive. Whatever be sure and set them up CORRECTLY

It depends on your use. Every high end vehicle and racing stable in the world runs them and then the price is less than value.

On the other hand if anyone put them on a bike and can't ride / appreciate good suspension then it is better to stick with the HD OEM units.

Sadly most HD riders are more concerned with shiny chrome and exhaust sound than handling / learning how to ride.

I guess on the other hand if I really wanted great handling I would ride something else than a rubber framed HD.

But.....still love riding my HD.

I have owned Ohlin, Progressive and HD premium hand adjustable both the older version and the new 2017 version.

Best by far are the Ohlin HD-159, now on my 13 CVO King.

Second best are the 2017 HD hand adjustable premium

third are the Progressive 944

4th the older HD hand adjustable premium that were on my 12 SERG and my 13 SERK.
