when I bought last year my 2013 FLHRSE5 the iPod was missing so I need a new one; I think the original iPod was a 6th generation apple nano but that generation is out of stock so can I take the 7th generation apple nano? does it work as good as the original one?

Any version of iPod will work, just buy a USB to whatever type power cord it needs.

if you go 7th gen you need the adapter for the 30 pin to that new lightning connector. the 6th gen is plug & play. You can find the old ones on ebay for dirt cheap.

I use the 30 pin to lighting connector, and use my iPhone 7 for my music on my 13 King. This has the advantage of keeping the phone charged also.
