My problem was the chrome would not fit between the screen and lock on a 2016. I screwed up on this one. Using a 5/32 Allen wrench, I removed the screw on the tank holding the gas cap cover in place. Removed the gas cap and moved chrome piece out of the way. With same Allen wrench, I removed the two bolts holding the lower plastic that fits around the fork lock. Now with a t-20 bit, unscrewed the lock mechanism. Was able to adhere the chrome bezel around the screen then. Here's where I messed up. Screwing the lock back in place, I snapped a tab that one of the screws go through. I am not sure if it got moved around or what but there was a blue plastic cog in the way of the screw. I will have to get another housing and see if there is a specific procedure in screwing the lock on.
