ECM Mod Mfr's Having Problems

Check this out. I don't have first hand info on this, but I read this on Yahoo TC88 Forum. Someone stated that his friend at one of the aftermarket mfr's got a subpoena by the EPA to provide a customer list for a certain ignition performace products designed for 2007 motorcycles. He believes that a similar subpoena was issued to two other aftermarket ignition companies as well. And the drift seems the EPA will pursue the exhaust mfr's as well! :nixweiss:

I don't know how accurate this information is, but the word's getting around that the EPA is serious about cracking down on aftermarket mods on motorcycles. I'm just passing this along as a Public Service Announcement. Take it for what it's worth. It's an unconfirmed rumor, but it wouldn't surprise me. And don't shoot the messenger!

There are 100's, of custom tuners out there for cages - even shrink wrap outfit's like Hypertech, Diablo, SuperChips, etc. Same with exhaust, Corsa, Magnaflow, Etc.  They've never bothered them? WTF??

I didn't know you hung out there too. It's kind of a dead board nowadays. Used to be much more active. It's old school compared to this software.

I don't hang out there at all. But I have new threads sent to my Yahoo Email. I browse them and this topic caught my eye. I joined, but never signed on, just get it via Email. Hoist! 8)
