Thanks MAS Are you going to keep the stock muffllers and use the V&H headpipes? I look forward to the update. Do you have the part number of the baffles you ordered?

hd-dude,

Right now I am running the SE performance mufflers part number 65115-98B and I took your lead and ordered the 100-7857 from Drag to see if they will fit. I took the stock cans off after my first ride.

What do guys think of Vance and Hines Dresser Duals and Oval slip ons.  I have a 05 EGC and I want it a little louder.  The dealer told me to stay with the cross over because by installing duals the passenger will have a hot left foot.  Is there any truth to that?

NYChog,

I have gone with the V&H True Dual c/w V&H Slip ons and have had no problems with heat.

Very simple installation, put the heat shields after True Duals are on the bike.

Have 95" c/w SE251 Cams, SE Heads ported and polished by SBC, put out 98.6 HP & TQ is 104 lb ft.

Wow talk about a fast response.  I was gonna go with the Rhinehart true duals but I haven't seen them or heard them on any bike so I'm not sure about the sound I do however hear good things about them with the exception of the price.

I have heard the Vance and Hines and I really like the sound they put out.  My brother has Samson ovals on his bike and they have a nice sound also.  I'm not looking for too much noise on a touring bike.  I'm probably gonna stick with the VH pipes..

Thanks.

NYChog,

You mentioned Rineharts, now on Ebay from Eastern Ferformance $597.95 delivered in the US.

I bought a pair to put on my 04 SE CVO 103", which when finished shortly will be going into my 03 Road Glide. Heads worked on by SBC, Andrews TW55G Cam, Baker DDS 6 Speed etc. Will post Dyno Numbers after complete.

Ah, very good, MAS.  I didn't remember that our buddy 2lane was running the V&H duals.  I'd still like to see yours too, though, with the SE mufflers so run 'em up on here when you get a chance.  Thanks!

MAS, thanks for the photos.  I saw you posted those somewhere else here, too.  As ths site grows (and I grow older, LOL!), I guess I am having trouble remembering who has what mods here.

I was thinking Rhinehart, but I'm beginning to like the idea of these V&H more and more.  If I do the V&H, I can run the mufflers I already have (which I like the sound of) and avoid the additional cost associated with the mufflers that come with the Rhinehart package.

Thanks to you and 2lane for the photos and comments!
