Heat Shield Gap Filler
« on: May 24, 2005, 04:47:32 PM »

I see that HD came out with a exhaust heat shield to fill the gap by the right hand floor board.  That's the 3-4 inch space where the front heat shield ends and the rear heat shield starts.

Mine '03 SERK shows the discolored exhaust pipe in this gap area.  Has anyone out there installed one of these items to cover the gap? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

That shield is stock on the SEEG's.  So in the Electra Glide section you should find a lot of pic....    [smiley=oops.gif]

Until a few days ago you would have found a lot of pics that is.  Look in the gallery section and find some fo the Maggie Valley pics.  You should find some Glides there with pictures that include the pipe and cover.

Geez Bill, you 04 guys just go so hosed.  Not only did you not get the tour pak that's so small you can't do a lot with it you also didn't get that exhaust shield or those very special chrome front axle spacers.  But hey, you did get all that special mixture flaking chrome  [smiley=oops.gif]

Oh yeah, forgot about that.  We even talked about that wherever the heck we were for lunch that day when we were cold enough to really need soup.
