Daytona Twin-Tec Tuner Question..
« on: April 06, 2007, 03:28:39 PM »

My 07 SE Ultra is in and will be ready soon.

I am putting on Rinehart TD and will be installing a KN or likewise HF Filter.

ALL of the SE race tuners are on back order util May-June sometime...

In the mean time...to get the most from the exhaust and intake we are using the Daytona Unit UNTIL the SERT becomes available...then it will be re-done.

Anyone use the daytona?

Anyone see any potential problem areas using one now....then the SERT later?

Are you reffering to the "Twin Tuner"?

This unit just came out, I installed one on a customers bike last week and it worked very well. I would say that its a good inexpensive way to get you by untill the sert arrives.

Spend the extra $$ and go with the TMAT from Zippers. I had the DTT twin scan II setup (with the SERT) and hated it. Too confusing and complicated to work with as compared to the Zippers stuff. DTT took the stuff back (THANK GOD) with some complaining and I forwarded the money to Zippers. Plus DTT has horrible customer service / tech support. Zippers will spend hours on the phone with you to work out any issues or help with tuning. Trus me, Zippers is the way to go. Do your research and you will agree.

Also: The SERT is a nice way to tune your bike BUT remember once you use it you will never be able to sell it or get any money back for it. My SERT is sitting on a shelf in my garage because I made the mistake of buying one rather than waiting for the TMAT to become available with some maps. However, when I did use the SERT it was a bulletproof piece of equipment that really helped my bike run great.
