Is this part of the recall breaker/fuse that HD sent the recall about?  The restart sound very bad.

I can believe the stall but the restart [smiley=nixweiss.gif]. It does not seem likely or possible unless there was a wiring problem. I can't see an intermittant circuit breaker doing this

You want to bet the complaintant wasn't trying to restart the bike (in a heluva hurry) after it died on him.  With the breaker kicked it wasn't starting normally when he pushed the start button.  Then all of sudden the breaker resets and it does.  He's still pushng and repushing the start button but he's in such a rush to get it going and a little flustered from being stopped in traffic that the only thing he really recognizes is that it suddenly started when he kind of didn't expect it to.

Just a guess, but it's not an unlikely scenario.

Have had my SEEG shut off while cruising down the freeway with about 8 bikes in the group watchem in the mirrors was a mess.  Bike started right back up so wasn't sure what happened.  Have heard it doesn't involve the SEEG but checked with the dealer just incase and he said no they aren't involved in the recall.

Sounds like the breaker kicking out to me when it gets too hot.  Replaced mine several months ago because Harley wouldn't.  Plus they wouldn't even sell me one.  Yesterday I saw a whole bin of them at a liquidators warehouse for  $ .50/apiece so I bought two more for spares or whatever.
Actually the warehouse is Mendelson's Liquidators in Dayton, Ohio if you want to look them up to get one.  Probably cheaper to buy it locally though.
My bike quit on me just as I was pulling into a parking lot, luckily not on the highway.  But started up again after sitting a few minutes.
