Hi Serkus,
I know how you feel with all of the info and concerns about your new bike.
I had an 80" EVO before my 103" and rode the first year stock since compaired to the 80" the 103" from the factory was so much more powerful and I was happy with the increase.I had always heard that the Twin Cam engines were hotter feeling to the rider since they were more efficient at dissipating heat from the cylinders vs. the EVO so I didn't know they could run cooler with adjustments.
I also got a 7 year extended warranty and worried about service and possible smog or noise inspections.
After the first year I was tired of the heat and decided to try the Arlen Ness  Big Sucker kit with a set of S&S SPO mufflers and a Harley Race Download. My dealer said they would cover these mods under warranty if i bought from them and they did the install. I let them do it and I am very happy with my decision. I almost wish I had done it sooner but I now know what these mods can do to make the engine run better and cooler. So in one regard it gave me a basis for comparison and made spending the money for the mods  more bearable.
I also kept the old factory parts incase the state ever goes to noise and smog testing.

Thanks for the responses and the info . Going to pick it up in tomorro and run it the Harleys way, at least untill I can get the needed stuff here.  Were a little behind the curve in this areas, the dealers here do not have any experience with the 110 engine and it'scare and feeding, other than what the MOCO tells them. Have to rely on you guys and your experience. IMho it's that's all  to the good ! Past-life used to run interference between design engineering, maintainability and reliability and the bean counters. Much prefer this site, it's style and most of all, it's members and the real world info.  ;) Now I need to know what extraa do I need to order to enable me to install the KN HD-800 air cleaner? ;D
