Just be careful where you carry that rag.  Someone just caught themselves on fire having a rag in back pocket.

Sorry to hear of your trouble, but the more experienced ones are saying just get it back in and get it fixed and you will be alright.  If I can offer any advice at all right now, is try to relax a little right up front, it will all be OK in the end.  I know I was not relaxed in my beginning days of ownership and I am still paying for it.   :cherry:  You have a most fantastic Motorcycle.   :huepfenjump3: :bananarock:
You are exactly right and I am trying to calm down and take a deep breath.  Its my first HD and am just a little anxious after spending $30K.  But, I took it to the dealer today and they are installing the mastercylinder seal kit tomorrow morning and hopefully I will be good to go.  The service tech explained to me that sometimes the bikes are put together fairly quickly and these types of leaks happen.  So, he ensured me that the tech would take his time and install the new seal kit slowly.  This made me feel alot better!  Also, he stated that the noise I am hearing from the brake pads scraping my rotors is normal.  He says that most bikes have a "grinding/scraping" noise until you apply the brakes and the noise goes away.  He said there is no fix and HD bikes are famous for the rotor noise.  Do you all agree?  If so, hopefully my V & H pipes will take care of hearing any of the scraping noise from my brakes :bananarock:.  Thanks everyone for you input and hopefully the fix for my master cylinder will take care of the problem.  Of course, its new and I expect that there may be some minor bugs to be worked out.  Bottom line, I still love my SERK :apple:

Is this a common problem?  I am a little frustrated that my bike only has 100 miles on it and is already having issues.   Oh, I forgot to ask about my rotors too....when I am coasting, I can hear my brake pads periodically scraping the rotor...then, when I apply the brake, the sound stops.  Is this normal?  Is this because the pads are new and they need to break in and wear down a little so they are not making contact with the rotors when moving?  And, is my bike safe to ride until I can get it into the shop for the hydraulic leaking issue? Thanks

1)DONT GET FUSTRATED, GET EVEN. TAKE IT BACK AND ASK FOR SOMETHING FREE
2)NORMAL. MOST ALL DO IT. RIDE IT
3)IF YOU RUN IT OUT OF FLUID,  YOU WONT HAVE A CLUTCH. THAT WOULD NOT BE SAFE. BE SMART AND BE SAFE. CALL FOR A P/U BY YOUR DEALER OR HAVE A RELIABLE TECH OR FREIND LOOK AT IT FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK :2vrolijk_21:

Thanks but we are heading to Thunder Beach this weekend in PCB.  Leaving Thursday am.  Come along.  We rode Sunday to the new HD dealership in Cartersville.  Nice building but their touted sale was disappointing.

Thanks for the support.  I actually took my bike in today and they are installing a new master cylinder seal kit in the morning.  Should be ready to go by afternoon!  Hopefully, it will be 100% tomorrow and I will once again have a big smile on my face.

One other thing...don't let the brake fluid get on any paint!!!!

If it does, wash it off ASAP.  It eats paint!!!   :o
