How many miles without breakdowns?

Hello, I write you of Paris or I wait for my red Road king C.V.O. since July.
It is in transit now and will be delivered to me at the beginning of June.
In the reading of your exchanges, I am worried on the reliability of the machine.   
Some people can  reassure us by sharing their experiments and the number of miles crossed without breakdowns ?.
I shall send you photos in front of the Eiffel Tower as soon as possible.

Good strolls and in the pleasure to read your experiments...

Welcome to the site and enjoy your new bike.  Looking forward to the pictures you promised.  No need to worry about your new bike.  The smile you have when you put your leg across it for the 1st time will end all doubts.

I wouldn't worry to much about the mechanical side. ....

Glad to hear you’re finally going to get a chance to ride your new scoot.  Judging from my experience, I wouldn’t be concerned about reliability, I’ve logged 6,500 miles on mine and have experienced zero mechanical malfunctions or anything for that matter that has required me to return to the dealer except for scheduled services and the factory remap that became available late last year.

Look forward to seeing those pictures with the tower in the background.

Hey Billie, welcome to the CVO forum from England.

You are not the only one worrying about the delivery of his new SERK, I too am waiting for my CACO SERK and am wondering if I am going to have issues with it. My current bike is a 2001 Heritage Softail which now has 45,000 miles on it. The bike has only ever had two minor electrical issues and I am wondering if I am going to give myself problems with the change.

I guess we have to console ourselves with the fact that these bikes should now have some of the early issues resolved (we hope) and that we get one of the trouble free ones (there does seem to be some of these about).

Hope yours turns up soon Billie. Remember though that almost without exception the current SERK owners say it is still the best Harley they have ever ridden.
