I had the same problem, here's what I did. First change the chorome insert on the foot peg to the rubber version so your foot feels like it will stay on the peg (about $6 each). The chrome looks good but is not practicle to keep your foot in place or absorb vibration. Add the heel rest to the pegs for more comfort. Those 2 items are less than $100. but don't get you closer so then invest in a "close up seat". I have a Corbin seat on order, Before I bought the seat I was able to have it mounted on my bike at Myrtle Beach Bike Week for a test fit, moved me up 1-2". The stock seat is the worst thing to use if you have shorter legs. It is too flat and too long in the seating area so you slide backwards. I bought a used Street Bob seat to hold me over and it helped greatly, but still could be a little closer. With the Corbin you get to choose the seat materials, stitching, pattern, etc. for the same price. Mine will be 2 colors, 1 is aligator, and will have flame stiching in the seating area, will be custom to match the bike. I will post a picture when I get it, should be about 2 more weeks. I tried 2 different types of "set back" adapters with no luck because you still have to be able to reach the brake and the only type I could find also moved the peg further away from the center line of the bike while the brake peddle stays put. Changing the shifter and brake foot piece (not the lever) is also possible but I did not have to. I could find no company that sells a brake lever to move it back. A half decent machinest could do it for you though.
