Gentlemen,

I know it takes along time to wear the paint off the frame with
road dirt.  But at @ $3K to reproduce a painted frame, I decided
to do something to somewhat protect it.

First, I got the chrome fender extender (H-D) $40.

Second, 3M the scotch tape people have a double sided
sticky 1/16 in. thick X 1 in. wide X 60 in. invisible vinyl tape for
mounting lightweight pictures to the wall.

I have had this on my bike for a month now, even though the
surface is still tacky, it stays pretty clean, and cleans off easily.
(Use any remover with care and or WD40 to take the origional surface
stick off.)

Different strokes and all that.  Purely for appearance's sake, however, the Pan was always my favorite.  But it's got to be chromed or polished.  Not dull.  Just always really liked the look of the Pan top end.

So you peeled both sides off and there is glue on the exterior as well? Doesn't that just create a huge amount of dirt on it?
