I asked just for grins if you could go with just the "bigger Bore" top end as I'm planning on using HTCC heads in my 95 build.. unfortunately the answer was a resounding NO.

Bummer , 100" would have been nice

Buy the HD cylinders and then go buy a set of after market pistons. I would still use the 103+ heads abd have them reworked. Can you say HOLD ON!!!!!!!

Don't forget, getting the stock heads reworked is good, if you have the right one doing it!

BUYING SIMILAR PARTS BECAUSE OTHERS USE THEM IS A RECIPE FOR DISAPPOINTMENT!
IT'S THE RIGHT COMBINATION OF PARTS AND THE RIGHT TUNER THAT MAKES THE GOOD #'S.

I agree with using your stock heads. I use a guy that is one of the best. The 103+ heads come with the ports opened up and 2.06 intakes and I think 1.694 on the exhaust for valve sizes. The price on the 103+ heads are also coming down. They are getting so cheap right now I have 2 sets. One in the shop still in the box and the other set is in transit for a little rework. I don't use them because some one else has used them I picked them up because of price.

I can also tell you about combos I know for a fact I have a little 95 inch dyna that will smoke about 90% of the bikes on the road. I can also tell you that you can get 130 RWHP out of a well built 95 incher  with the right combo.

As my Dyna is relatively lite compared to a Bagger , I think the 104/104 I'll be running will be enough to get me by. According to the Nightrider calculator for my weight + the bikes and the power curve / wheel/tire combo

the Calculated Performance:
0-60 -4.61 seconds
0-100 10.67 seconds
¼ mile in 12.97 sec @ 107.82

Tolerable .

I plan on getting a Road Glide in a couple of years ( probably used) and doing the 113/6 speed upgrade.

I'll keep my Dyna , and use the bagger for when Mama doesn't want to rider sporty , or trips to Sturgis /Daytona/Laconia
