Here's yet another option:

by Thunder Heart Performance - the people that brought you the ThunderMax ECM. Hmmmmmmmm. I wonder if this is a regional piece that needs to be recalibrated when the temperature changes too?

Thanks Casey, but the timing's all wrong for me. That 500 bucks along, with a few more, are going into engine, brakes and suspension mods. These are most important to me. For 30 bucks, I'll go for the HD substitue. The one you showed will have to wait. But I'd like to be able to measure over 120! ::) Hoist! 8)

Update on the new speedo. I lkie it! I like it much better than that spun Al job that you can't see in bright sun. The black face w/white numbers is very visable and the programmable light colors are cool. I didn't get to play with it, but it's much better to me than the stocker. It does have the 6th gear indicator too, which they don't describe in the catalog. :2vrolijk_21:

Just got back from my dealer to look at a new '08 SERK, not mine though.

I remember you saying that the tach was pretty hard to read.  I thought that was because of the angle of the speedo face and that the tach was kind of hidden by the bezel on the speed at the bottom.

I looked a couple '07s and they did appear to be that way.

The '08 as far as I can tell has an almost in your face angle to the speedo and the complete tach and all numbers are very visible even directly at the bottom.  It really seems different than the '07s, but maybe it's just the dash shape itself that gives it the impression of a steeper angle back.

I have pictures but they didn't turn out well, I had to borrow a camera and it really wasn't the best for indoors picture taking.  I'll work with them a bit if anyone is interested.

I was just wondering if it's a color/face option of the original SE speedo or the angle that was the problem.  I know you said the new one is easier to see, but not sure exactly why.

Thanks and sorry to....  :beatdeadhorse: :beatdeadhorse:...
