You should look into HD Insurance program. They use Formost which gives I believe 7500 in custom insurance with the rate. You can purchase more.

Great timing for me to review this thread...currently with Progressive and I was going to review other options...Looks like State Farm will be one of them for sure.

Thanks to all.

I've got GEICO and they will insure accessories, for an additional premium, as long as you have a list of the parts added and the receipts.  I've been with GEICO for 27 years and they've always treated me fairly.  I guess also because I've been with them so long now, and contributed to so many GEICO retirement funds, that they sent me a written letter stating that I will never be dropped by the company for any reason.  (Didn't mention that they will raise my rates so ungodly high that I can't afford them, but did guarantee that I'll never be dropped.)  I've been very happy with them.  I, like Terry with State Farm, insure everything through them.
Cheers :2vrolijk_21:.

How about we look at this thread from this direction. If you had a total loss claim, post here who your insurer was and how you made out. That's the best way I can think of for anyone looking to change insurers to judge which they think is best. I already posted the results of a total loss claim with State Farm. Let's see someone who had a total loss claim with Allstate, ( did JCZ already do that ? )  someone who had a total loss claim with Progressive and so on.

Progressive Insurance:  I had a total loss claim on a 2004 SEEG orange/black.  Bike was three months old - approx. 5000 miles on it.  I paid MSRP and had about $2 grand in add-ons.  Within one week of my accident Progressive hand delivered a check to me for MSRP +$500.00 + $2 grand for the add-ones (the policy limit for add-ons was $2 grand).  I had not told Proressive what I paid for the bike.  The claims adjuster told me they based their price on "book value plus value of add-ons".  I smiled and said thank you...

I am an agent with Liberty Mutual in th DC metro area
My tricked out 06 RK was stolen 18k in goodies.
I attempted twice to endorse my policy with the upgrades (photos/receipts attached)
Underwriting told me we currently don't have that feature, and just to save all my reciepts/pix.
I found out the hard way that we do have a special endorsement for custom work. After 30 days of sweating and using special language towards my co-workers in claims, they honored my claim in full.
As of Sept 2007, Liberty Mutual does not cover custom bikes over 40k or home made customs.
We now have a accesories tool to quote with, and believe it or not, my 2008 SEUC is almost 100.00 cheaper than the 06RK
