.....I inquired about the Andrews 06 upgrade to the new chain and tensioners and my mechanic told me it's about $1700 and not worth the trouble or money.

FYI:
I checked on the price of a camplate and oil pump assembly for a 2007 Twin Cam. I came up with $512 which includes most if not all of the peripheral pieces, including a $65 gasket kit. (Does not include pushrods)

The conversion cams from Andrews run $268, which brings the total to $780.
