Have decided to buy two more scooters.

The most awesome of the less than 50cc scooters is the Aprilia SR 50 R factory model. (IMHO)

Aprilia dealers are few and far between. The only one in Charlotte (a new dealer) has the attitude of "we have the only Aprilia game in town" and is not being reasonable in their pricing.

So I thought I would ask the site members if they had any connections to get a decent price.

I want two of the 08's and imagine this,

the 08 colors are silver and black with a little orange to make dOOd happy.

So if you have a connection let me know.

We are not beyond driving a few miles to save some bucks!

MSRP is $2999.00 and no one seems to want to sell two for a reasonable price.

The ol I have money to buy and the dealers have product to sell and we should meet somewhere in the middle isn't working. I want to tap them on the forehead and say, "Hello, Hello wake up" these scooter are toys and I don't have to have them.  Oh well, sooner or later I will find two of these. I just don't ever get the "Got to haves". I can wait.

But here's a funny picture,
Don (TwoLane) was at an Aprilia dealership trying to get a good price and took one for a test ride. The shop had to force him to get off the scooter because he was having so much fun. These things are a blast. It's a good thing they don't come in red or I believe he would have one.

I don't know enough about these little bastards to know for sure.  But I think the red ones are all different models.  The sales weiner in Kansas City said this model (the coolest most fun and fastest one) was only available in something called Aprilia Black.  If they'd have had one of those little buggers in a nice dark red or maroon, with maybe a bit of flake in it, I might've been pedaling that little thing 175 miles home.
