Yes indeed, a handy "pull out" section featuring the Mid-Frame Air Deflectors, Engine Idle Temperature Management System, new Detachable Fairing Lower Hardware kit, and the new Adjustable Air Deflector Kit.  All extra cost options (with the exception of the EITMS built in to the ECM) designed to reduce the heat affect on the rider, not actually reduce the heat output.  Once again they take a major negative and find a way to have the owner's pay them to "fix" the problem.  Gotta love 'em.

There's something to be said for consistency but this is getting tiresome and expensive. Some day, maybe, they'll get their chit figured out before they release em.

My new scooter is so much like my first bike I ever owned. Ran hot, threw oil all over the place and sounded like a washing machine. Of course now I've got to spend $38k for it! Back then I traded a summers worth of lawn mowing and paid the bike off in full! Good old memories. . .

As you can see I don't post much here in the CVO forum. Just do not spend a lot of time on line. This heat issue got real interesting as it relates to my 07 CUSE2 last week. Picked up the bike back in 12/06 and put the 500 mile break-in on it. After this and before leaving for Key West and Daytona Bike Week I had V/H Slip on's put on along with stage 1 and SERT. First 500 it was real Hot. After tune and the trip to Florida still Hot with oil temp's around 270. Called dealer from Key West and told him to order true dual headers because the cross over was burning my legs. Returned from the trip and had the duals put on with a new tune from the SERT. From the time the duals and new tune took palce I only see temp's no higher than 245. Okay now to the interesting point I want to make. Had the IDS installed last week and what a difference it made. Just decided on a whim to put Harley's Heat Shields on also at this time. Thirty five miles from the dealership and only 5 miles from my house I had almost 0 oil pressure at normal speeds. Reached down at the next stop light and pushed the oil temp and I see 311. As soon as the bike cooled down the shields were removed and back to 245 we go and along with normal oil pressure. By the way I have been through the gasket replacement situation over 2 months ago and all is fine there. This may not happen to anyone else but you can have all the heat shields you want. My observation was that the heat was being trapped at the rear head and causing the extreme temps.

The thing I read in the enthusiast was the same old BS...plastic heat guards, rear cylinder shut down at idle, and wear something besides shorts.  Nothing I read addressed the MOTOR HEAT, just the effect it has on the rider/passenger.

Interesting comment. I discussed this today with my HD tech. He said do not use them for this reason. They are to make you feel better, not your motor! Your motor will suffer even more heat with them. Another HD scam, so you can bury your heads in the sand like they do! ;)

I put on the HD Dragon wings strictly for survival in the 95+ Georgia heat . SERT helped ..the oil cooler doesn't hurt,  but from what I've read so far a cam change will be the biggest help , that will wait until warranty runs out.
