110 plus heads
« on: September 06, 2007, 03:43:44 PM »

I was looking at the new screamin eagle pro book today, they have two new heads 110 plus
and ACR performance, anyone know if the acr heads are the same as our cvo 110 heads?
I would like to see how the 110 plus heads flow compared to the stock 110 heads

the throttle body is for touring only because it has the electronic throttle feature, and the touring bikes are the only family that has it.  The heads that come on '07 and later cvo bikes, and the 110+ and acr performance are all very similar.  Same combustion chamber size and shape, but the valve sizes are different, according to the catalog.  I've seen posts from a couple of well known head porters.  One loved the cvo heads, and one didn't like them.  At least they have a flat quench area and can probably be made to work well with a minimum of effort.

Redtwin,

I was on-line to Mike at Latus HD. I asked him about 08 CVO heads being any different from the 07 heads. I had a shop say they made some improvements in flow especially the exhaust side.

His response -
"The front head is different in that it is machined for the new front stabilizer location, so they carry a new part number. Other than that, they are essentially the same."

For what it's worth.

Mike told you the right answer about the heads.   The 08 is only different due to the motor mount setup.
