replacement  road king license plate bar
« on: January 02, 2005, 07:12:10 PM »

I'm going to be moving the  license plate on my Road King.  I want to lose the bar. But I noticed that it will need something to replace it.  I have seen the Gem Light in  JP Cycle.
http://www.jpcycles.com/productgroup.aspx?GID=03579B01-F336-46AD-ADD6-8D27D4B94F5C&search=license%20plate&store=Harley&page=2

But I do not want lights.  Just want something to fill in the Fender strut. So it look right/good

Do any of you have any ideas???

I think u can just take the bar off. It a bitch lining up the holes from were it attaches to the frame. I noticed that when I was adding my docking kit to mine for the quick connect tour pack.

My Bike is in the shop right now. So I can not look to see how it would look with out something to fill in the space if there is one with you the bar.

Maybe I would just need a washer or something I hope

Well I found a place that is looking to make a replacement for the licence bar.
Something in chrome.  If you are looking for the same thing drop them a email
and let them know.  They also have a nice kit for a bagger

DOA,

Sorry it took so long to respond.

The filler strips do not work. But I'm going to pick up a extra pair I feel it will only take a little mod to get them to work
