I have seen t-shirts with this saying on it
God created cops so firefighters could have heroes too

But when the chit hits the fan I want my brother F/F's, they are my heroes. The PD couldn't hold a candle to these guys.

This is some scary stuff, every F/F's nightmare. Watch it to the end, the audio is disturbing, but it has a good outcome.

For the non fire people here, what you don't see and not really hear, are multiple rescue teams searching the interior of the building while the guys are breaking out the windows.

If you don't think this Captain was scared, watch as they have to try and pry his hands off the ladder.

What they didn't play on the audio is his goodby message, I heard that at the time of the fire and it is heartbreaking.

Tough to watch, almost a real Ladder 49! I sent it on to my son in-law, he's a fire fighter. On the same site is a nasty video of a 120 mph motorcycle accident.
