FLHTUCSE2 tour pack bag
« on: September 12, 2007, 08:52:18 PM »

Hi All,

Going on a long trip this weekend, and I am using the tour pack bag (the inner bag that came with the bike), but when I put it in the TP, it isn't fitted (formed) to the inside of the tour pack, just a rectangular bag, and it actually appears a little bigger than the TP. Is this the right bag, or did the dealer give me the wrong bag (I kinda expected it to be formed to the inside of the TP, similar to the bags for the saddle bags)

Thanks for the help,
Rotag

I believe that the liner you have is for a King Tourpak, and that's the only one the MoCo has. You're right it doesn't fit like it should because the leather tourpak is smaller. Others w/the CUSE/2 will better be able to answer this though.

d00d is absolutely correct.  HD apparently doesn't make a tour pak bag for the leather tour pak.  The bag that came with my SEUC is bigger than the inside of the tour pak.  Just don't pak it until it's totally full, leave some scrunching room to make it fit.

Thanks very much guys for the replys. Figures that the Moco would do that, I mean, why give us a bag that fits the tour pack, the bike was only $33k.........

Rotag, you want to purchase the bag for the chop tour pak, such as the one that came with my 2000 Screamin Eagle Road Glide.  I have put enough in it for the weekend. It is about half the size of the one for my 08 CUSE3 and it is great to just pull out of the tour pak and run into the motel.  Milford

Yeah you would think they would give you a bag that fit!  We used a duffle bag that fit good.

well, I decided to just use the saddle bag inner bags instead, made more sense in the long run anyway since I use the TP for stuff I use most often.

Thanks for the tip on the other bag, I will look into it, you wouldn't happen to have the part #?

as for changing out the TP for hard the TP.....my best friend has the hard TP on his 07 FLHTUC, and he has tried to get me to get a hard TP painted to match, the leather TP in my opinion is one of the most readily distinguishable things that seperate the SE from the standards, and I like the looks of it (just not the size and the fact that if you leave it open too long, it doesn't want to close and latch correctly).

Please don't get me wrong, I am not trying to sound like I think the SEUC is an elitist machine or anything like that, I was trying to find the standard UC (the blue & silver or the blues brothers paint scheme) when I found my SEUC by accident, the only point I am trying to make is, that if I spent the extra $ for the SE, it may as well look like an SE.

Again, thanks to all of you for your replys, this is always the first place I come to when I have a question like this, and you guys always come thru!!!! :)

Great Forum, and I am proud to be part of it.

time to change out the tour pack

I have had enough of the Leather Tour Pack, my king tour pack is due in this week.  I ordered it in Vivid Black and will get some matching color put on it after I get it.  Not going to add the Autumn Haze, just the red to dress it up.  Already have the rack, liner & lock sitting here waiting for the TP.

I'll post pic's after I install it.
