Supply of Chrome Brake Calipers
« on: September 19, 2007, 09:54:52 AM »

Can anyone tell me if these are supplied as a pair Chrome Front Calliper Kit
PN# 44392-00A
. (Described that they are for dual brakes.. but doesn't say they are supplied as a pair).
Also LED Tail Lamp "Smoked Lens w/Chrome housing PN# 68086-08" is this supplied with a clear window on top to illuminate the numberplate located above.

I presume these will fit the FHTCUSE2.  :nixweiss:

Advance thanks.

I would think it would be safe to say the price quoted for the brakes are for a pair since the chrome back (P/N 42030-05) are $399.95 and that would only be one.

The brake light will have the clear at the top for license plate illumination unless you have the License Plate Relocation Kit P/N 53702-04 which would put the license plate below the tail light.

Thanks Mate.

The difference in cost is amazing. Allowing for exchange rates.

Callipers are 50% cheaper in the US
Light is $130.00 cheaper in the US

I don't mind a mark-up but hey this is a bit steep don't you think.

Allowing for shipping it would still be a HUGE saving...

Do you know of any reputable dealers who would ship?

Cheers

If I might make a suggestion to you...when you buy the HD chrome calipers, you're getting the same caliper, just chromed.  there are MUCH better calipers on the market in chrome!!!  One option you might want to consider is getting on the HogPro site and checking out their offerings in chrome calipers to fit your bike.  PM and Hawg Halters are two good brands.  PM has differential bore calipers that provide better, more evenly distributed force from pad to rotor and are bolt on applications.

Just a thought...if you contact HogPro by phone, speack with Phil...HP has excellent customer service!!!
