Oil temp sending unit
« on: October 18, 2007, 04:27:27 PM »

Can anyone tell me how to install the oil temp sending unit for the in-dash gauge, directly on the oil pan in lieu of the Moco way of tying into the oil cooler line?  I think a hardware store plumbing fitting or two is needed.  Any pics and other specific info is greatly appreciated.

Just get a brass bushing (3/8" to 1/4" reducer bushing) and install it in place of the horizontal plug in the pan. That's it.

Thanks.  That's the plug facing front next to the drain plug?  Any tricks on securing the wire?Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.  My dealer is not helping much on this and I have to do it myself.
