Oh...DD....really, really like the color of your bike, and am SO glad to know it's not the baby chit copper color they're putting on the non SE bikes.  The only one of the non SE's I've seen that looked good with that color was a Vrod.  The other's look like a faded 70's GM product...

The red bike is stock.  Really.  Just a little extra trim piece or two (or three).

Thanks for the photos.  Mine is over two weeks late as we speak.  Due to your great pictures, I am now relieved on color since I have not seen one.  It looks great!!!  Like the tourpak in black, copper, with a hint of gold.  I have a workshop full of chrome from my 07 ID and can't wait to apply the stuff to the 08.  Congrats on a beautiful bike and great pictures.

Mine is stock too...except for the wheels...















and brakes...and bars...and a few do-dads.  But my motor really IS stock.

Ok...SO it's Monday....and we're still waiting on the report for the "inaguaral ride" . 

 

I wish I could give you a report on our first ride.  Sadly it did not happen, my father-in-law was ambulanced to the emergency room this weekend with a serious illness and we never did get a chance to ride the bike.  We hope he'll be okay and we'll know more this week about his condition and recovery.   

There's always next weekend (we both work together during the week).  I promised my wife that she'd be with me on the inaugural ride because she picked out this bike and drove 15 hours to pick it up with me.  That was special to me and I owe her that and more.  This is the same lady who swore back in 2004 that she'd never get on a motorcycle.        

Thanks for asking.  I'll try to post some more photos, but I figured I was burdening your computers enough.

Good luck with your fatherinlaw's illness.  Secondly, we never get bored of pictures.  Hope you and your wife will be able to give us a ride report soon.
