Big B.

I noticed the spillage but was not going to razz you about it because I do the same thing. (Wife says one meal-one shirt) for me.

Brian,
No razzing from here, we've all been there at one time or another. Joe thanks for posting the pics. Brian I know everybody has said it already but I'll say it too. Man, Elvis is one beautiful ride. The leather, the paint, the chrome, really beautiful, nice job. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

Thanks Ed. I had a look in mind for a long time and never could nail it till I found those bags and seat. You know it's done too. I'm not gonna put the chrome swingarm on it. Seems like it's just right the way it is.

Actually, you'll notice Brian's Miller bottle was empty while Matt & I still had some great Black & Tan to put away. Most likely his bottle had an opening at both ends somehow, clearly a factory recall, since he would never waste a Miller.

Candy,
Brian would have indulged in the Black & Tans but it was not meant to be. The establishment only had mugs with one opening in the top (not defective) and of course there is the aforementioned budget issue having to do with major chrome collecting hobby. Sad but true.
We should make this into a Miller beer commercial maybe?

;) ;D Whew!  [smiley=nervous.gif] That's a good thing, cause I barely know and understand the Girl Rules.  But I doubt you will ever see me drinking pink things, unless it is medicinal.   ;D

Sometimes when life serves up lemons you make lemonade. So was the case this weekend. Beags and I had planned along with some others and a few wives to take a nice ride up into the Sierra Nevada Mtns. Roughly 360 miles each way ending in Bishop CA. We had rooms booked, bikes packed and were ready to ride when we awoke to that rarest of things. A SoCal rainstorm. And a good one at that. After waiting several hours beyond our leave time, we tossed in the towel and called the hotel to cancel the rooms. It ended up being an on again off again day of the sort many of us experience in a long cross country ride. This however was intended to be a pleasant putt up some back twolane highways. While we went back and forth on going, in the end we decided it just wasn't meant to be. Sunday my wife and I awoke to beautiful blue skies and cool weather so we put on the leathers and away we went. Stopped in Lakeside for a nice breakfast and then headed east on I-8. About 40 miles out of San Diego is Sunrise Highway. This is a beautiful ascent up Mt Laguna to an plateau full of pine and hardwood reminiscent of New England. It was about as perfect as it can get up at 7,000 ft with a view of the Anza-Borego desert below us. We stopped for a few minutes at the summit and then meandered our way down to Julian for some world famous Julian Pie. Linda being the traditionalist had the dutch apple. I was in the mood for something different and was not disappointed with Strawberry/Rhubarb ala mode. After the pie, we wound our way back down the mountainside to our home and caught the end of the ass whuppin the Patriots put on the Cowboys. Now that's making lemonade out of lemons. And sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet lemonade it was

B B,

You've gotta love it when a plan falls apart and then comes together with a day like this!  Sounds like a perfect day.  It's been years since I've had a strawberry Rhubarb pie and now I have to seek one out thanks to this post.

Have another glass of that sweet lemonade,
Craig
