well, the Daytona Police took me off the beach to the jail for handlebars being too high in the late 60's.  Local ordinance.  Had to go to court...took all my $$$ (poor NC biker on vacation) and wouldn't even let plead not-guilty unless I wanted to come back to appear before another court in 2 weeks to get my bail $$$ back.  And, even then, they wouldn't return my bail $$$, mailed it back to home of record in NC and left me to get back home w/o even gas money.  Credit cards???  I don't think so.........but, I did learn how to drain the old style gas hoses in all those stations on old 301 heading North after they closed for the night.  Aaaaa, the ole 'chopper days'.  Some of you old school dudes must remember doing that.  Now, they let you ride around w/ bars like this......who wudda thunk it?  har!  spyder
