I received an email today from accounts @paypal.us.  They claimed to be from PayPal, stated that there had been a malfunction of their computer system and asked for my identification.  I was suspicious and forwarded the email to spoof@paypal.com.  In just a few minutes I received an email from PayPal confirming that the email that I received was indeed phishing.

A lot of us are buying and/or selling on EBay these days.  Just wanted you all to be aware of the phishing issues.

I've received several of those and made reference to them yesterday in a different thread.  It was VERY convincing.

I missed that thread.  Yes, it was VERY convincing.  I received a similar bogus phone call and email from American Express.

you will also get them for ebay.

according to ebay and paypal,, they will never email you requesting any info on your account.
