Here's the welcome from his website
http://www.evelknievel.com/ Welcome to EvelKnievel.com, the ultimate and official, on-line Evel Knievel experience. I’m Evel Knievel, so I ought to know.
This website has been designed to be the definitive place for people to find out anything they want to know about my career. For me, it is also a place to share with my fans all of the most up-to-date, accurate information on my past, present and future accomplishments, as well as the trials and tribulations it takes to do anything worthwhile.
I routinely faced Death and was able to turn it into a benefit for my life, my family and everyone that surrounded me and believed in me. Practically my entire existence in the public spotlight has been borne out of overcoming adversity – adversity that should have cost me my life.
Caesars Palace, Snake River Canyon, Wembley Stadium; I’ve shattered bones, incurred severe trauma and suffered lacerations to much of my body and have spent, literally, years of my life lying in hospitals. I’m very lucky to be alive, but I’ve never stayed down for long.
By getting up and going back to what I was born to do, I’ve gained a world of fans, most of whom are with me to this day. I can’t express the gratitude I have for your support and the respect and loyalty you’ve given me through all these years. I’m very proud to say I believe I’ve earned it.
To be a man, to do my best, to stand alone is my only quest….
I invite and welcome you to follow my quest to its end through EvelKnievel.com. This website is THE PLACE for my fans and anyone doing what they love with passion. We’re continually adding interesting pieces of information from my past, updating the latest information on everything Evel and providing a great opportunity for all of you to tell me about your adventures. If I’ve inspired you; nothing would make me prouder than to have you share those stories, photographs and videos in the Rider Club. I’ve worked a long time for this chance and I hope you enjoy the site!
God bless you all and as always…Happy Landings!
