My Favorite Bike!
« on: December 24, 2007, 04:06:20 PM »

This is my all-time favorite touring bike. Its bullet proof, got 22k miles on it and never a hiccup. I've ridden it 13 hours straight couple of times and got off it with a smile still on my face. I would ditch my cvo before I would get rid of my old friend here (atleast till I put about 70k miles on it).

Started life as a STD 3.5 years ago. Had it painted a baby blue by a custom painter in Gettysburg. The fairing and front fender is pinstriped (Daytona Bike Week, what can I say!). Hawgwired component speaker system, had heads bored, ported and polished, changed pistons, cams, springs, pushrods, changed the seat, put the Rivco air horns and the extra tall stem mirrors on after a trucker almost ran me off the road, on and on. There's a lot to be said to get a bike just the way you like it starting with a base model, you wont save any cash though, thats for sure.
Spyder, floorboards have been grinded way too many times but not the highway pegs. Being 6'2", I like them as low as practical. :)

I like 'em low like that too.......looks good, feels good, ........just don't want 'em to be low enough to 'snag'.  :2vrolijk_21:  spyder
