Seems like we've got a number of sports fans on the site, so I thought I'd start a thread to share personal stories.
I'll start with something that happened to me on Monday that those of you who've heard my Maine accent can appreciate.
I went down to the local diner for breakfast with my authentic Teddy Bruschi #54 Patriots Jersey on as I was stoked after the Patriots pushed it to 15-0
Couple fans of the local team tell me to sit in the back.
" Dude " I said to one of em, " I can't even pronounce the name of your team, so why would I cheer for em ?"
" What'd you mean" he says
" Does Chahjahs sound like what you say ? " says me
What the hell kind of accent is that " says him
" New England , as in Patriots accent " says me
Spent the rest of my breakfast in peace
