Sorry Guys - but I am still rolling my eyes at the "105th" anniversary bikes.

Don't get me wrong - the color combo looks nice - but do we really need a badge for the 105th year?

For those that don't remember, HD had a problem with Aqua Blue Pearl in 1993, and dusted of the blue used in 1991, that was a mid model year change, I to am waiting for a Crystal Copper/ Black Onyx FLHTCUSE3, hope this color has not changed, to stock anniversary colors.

I think they had a problem with the red on the 2001 road kings as well, and so they switched mid year and made more of the purple.

Hi,

Just thought I would let you all know that I just received word back from my dealer that the MoCo was unaware of any problem with the listing of colours for the CVO 105th anniversary models.

Apparently over the holidays they were doing some work on their website and someone made what appears to be a rather large error... We should see the correction soon listing the CVO colour as "Crystal Copper and Black Onyx" once again.

Mystery solved.

That's great news, I know if I'd been waiting on mine and they made that kinda change, I'd be pi$$sed!!  :-[

I too found out yesterday that the paint description names had somehow been changed to the wrong colors and the original paint schemes were still in force.  What really amazes me is that I have called the MoCo on several occasions and some of the "customer service reps" don't even know what the CVOs are. Oh Well!!  I also found out yesterday that my expected delivery date on my Duracell is now March! Winter weather will make the wait easier I guess.

The 2008 Anniversary bikes are "Anniversary Copper and Vivid Black".  The CVO Anniversary bikes are "Crystal Copper and Black Onyx".  The copper color on the non-CVO annivesary bikes is lighter in color than the CVO, and the black on the non-CVO is just straight gloss black, but on the CVO has metallic fleck in it.

Hi Onsudsman,

If you check out the Harley website

http://www.harley-davidson.com/wcm/Content/Pages/CVOs/2008/2008_cvo.jsp?locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US

you see where the confusion is, however as mentioned previously there was a error made when updating the website over the holidays and although it is still not fixed, I have been informed that it will be soon listing the 2008 CVO Anniversary models as Crystal Copper and Black Onyx.

Take care,
Grizzly

I was told Friday night, by one of the salesmen from a local dealership that the CVO's are now included in the 1.05% for 36 months interest deal.

I see the MoCo has finally updated the website with the correct colors for the 105th Anniversary Screaming Eagle Ultra, Crystal Copper & Black Onyx. They also introduced a new softail springer called Cross Bones. Now it a waiting game until March for my new Duracell. Eddie  :bananarock:
