Some questions on stuff for an 08 CUSE3
« on: February 18, 2008, 01:26:59 PM »

A friend of mine is just about to take delivery of his 08 CUSE3, and has asked me about air cleaner, mufflers, and SERT.  Not being an 08 owner, I don't know the answers!

So:

1) He wants to fit V&H Ovals - will they fit straight on?

2) Does our old favourite, the list of parts known as the "Roll your Own" air cleaner still make up what's required for an 08?

3) Is the "old" SERT gone now, and only the "Super" SERT exist? Does it use the same maps as the older SERT?

Yes

No, The 08's have a different backplate as the throttle body is different. A chrome one is not yet availible. Arlen ness does have the "big Sucker" for the 08's and it coes with a chrome plate and a K&N type element

3) Is the "old" SERT gone now, and only the "Super" SERT exist? Does it use the same maps as the older SERT?

The old SERT (rev L) is still availible (at least locally) I have also seen many SERTS on ebay for pretty good prices. Dealers are most likely getting rid of them to make room for the new unit.
