Damn shame. Embarrassing. Hate to keep hearing this. Hang in there and hope a dealer can actually fix it for you one day. And don't feel foolish to take it to a real engine guy instead, and PAY to get it fixed right if you have to! FTF and FTW!!! ;)

Just got the bike back today. Been in the shop all week. I thought it was leaking more from the exhaust. The gaskets that were on the big radius where more towards a drag bike. The replaced the head gaskets and exhaust. 100 miles and not leak. Was nice to get on it today. I'm wondering if the exhaust gasket was the main problem...

Just the start of your problems. All the 110 Touring models are defective from the factory. I 1st noticed a small oil leak on mine at the bottom of the rear cylinder. Have afriend who is master Harley Tech. He thought it was just the gasket, then saw a small oil leak on the top gasket as well. Took it in and he pulled it apart, found that the rear cylinder sleeve was coming loose, they had 2 more in the shop waiting to be worked on, plus a brand new 2008  just out of the crate that was leaking. They ordered new cylinders and pistons and finally after 2 weeks got it put back together. Then I realized that of course the new ones would be defective also. Service said thats all they have and there is nothinelse they can do. So my question was what happens when the cylinder sleeve comes completely loose. The ansewer is a major engine failure and it could lock up the engine. So if you are passing a big rid at 85 MPH thinking you will easily clear the oncoming traffic and the sleeve comes completly loose, which can happen, then your engine will lock up and you are most likely deceased.  I asked the owner where I purchased the bike what they were going to do, the reply was NOTHING, it is under warranty and they will keep replacing the cylinders and pistons until my warranty runs out as Harley hasen't recalled the bikes and no service bulletins put out, so most dealers have never heard of the problem. A lot I now find out think it is just the gaskets and are replacing the gaskets. Thats like putting a bandage on your forehead for a brain tumor. Of course when they replace everything you have another break-in period. The bike is now back in the shop after only 1000 miles since replacing everything, and is leaking again. Talk about a rip off. I asked them to put the 113 set up in so I could ride safe, they refused unless I paid for all the engine upgrades, which is thousands of bucks. They now say that harely isn't making the 110 engine for the 2009 models.  But of couse they are still selling the 2008 ones with defective engines to unexpecting buyers . You would think they would notify all the buyers on the 2007 and 2008 bikes. and bring them back and eithier refund your money or or offera 103 set up or the 113 set up to relace these engines, but of cousre thats millions of bucks, so they will never do that. I purchased a really nice 05 SE so I can have peace of mind and ride safe.
