Hey There!

That's a great looking bike to find only 90 mikes from Cuba!

Here's my wife and I in the same spot last winter...

With another foot of snow last night, I wish I was there now!
It's a short way to get Castro... :bananarock:

Jamey took a few days early in January, before starting his new civilian job to get his mind switched in focus.

Man, I just gotta do that ride! :2vrolijk_21:

Well, I posted that back on Feb. 4.  A month later I've got the trip all laid out for later April, early May.  Flying in to Ft. Lauderdale and renting a bike at Miami HD (Peterson HD).  Got a hotel for the first three nights, right in the middle of the Art Deco area of South Beach at the Colony  http://www.colonymiami.com/

Going to spend the first day with Jeorge and Martha, going for a ride.  I think Sunday will be spent checking out the South Beach area and the beach.  Monday we have a day trip scheduled over to the Grand Bahama.

Wed. we head down to Key West where we have a room in the Duval Street area   http://www.duvalinn.com/room-hibiscus.htm  spending a couple of days there.  I left the last two or three days open so that we could just wing it.

Really looking forward to this trip! :2vrolijk_21:

Key West is my next trip.  Have friend down there now, although they cheated and took the auto train to Orlando and rode to Key West from there.  - Jim

Cheating is all relative.  A nice meal, glass of wine, conversations with friends and a good night's sleep, instead of just mile after mile on I-95 (which is never a whole lotta fun), and then being bright eyed and bushy tail for the actual sight seeing, is not all bad.  And on all relative, we have relatives (Granny is 94 years young) in Daytona Beach area, and we have made the trip a lot, I mean a lot, and it is never a great time.  But if you do in on a train, no stress, no fuss, no hassles, no traffic jams, no flat tires, no I gotta pee every rest stop ..........  But, then again, it is a nice trip to do on your bike too.  What ever fits your riding style, your time and finances.  It is all good.

We went in October. Rode from Raleigh NC to Keys. Great ride. Over 2400 miles when done. Pulled a trailer with my Screaming Eagle Ultra. Never even felt it back there.
